Quetta Gladiator’s Were the Champions in Season Four Of Pakistan Super League

Quetta Gladiators began their PSL journey when they were hardly recognized as a strong team that would show their teeth to opponents. Being low-key as compared to other PSL teams, Quetta Gladiators still made their way to the finals of the first and second season, and won the fourth edition of PSL as well.

Quetta had seared their way through to the finals by overpowering star studded opponents which itself is a big achievement for the team.
PSL5 was a memorable edition because it gave life to Pakistanās abandoned stadiums and light to the awaiting eyes of local cricket fans.
This year of PSL made its mark as one of the most unforgettable ones since it started with a crowded stadium and unfortunately, ended up in a COVID struck environment. We had seen a lot of closed door matches in the last year because of the global pandemic that reached every corner of the world.
As a Quetta Gladiators fan, the journey of PSL5 was bland since they faded out of the tournament before the play-offs. A lot of questions were raised, hearts were broken and expectations went down the drain. Some believed that the entire batting line-up was totally dependent upon the two fierce openers (Shane Watson and Jason Roy) which seemed off color the entire season. The middle order was inexperienced and threw their wickets early. Ben Cutting was a valuable edition and tried to finish certain games for Quetta as well. He has been retained in the squad for PSL6 too.
With the changes made by Quetta for PSL6, the ship can either sail or sink. The monotonous choices by the management have been given some rest and new picks have been made for the team. Umar Gul, the one-man army for Pakistanās bowling for quite a few years, has been given the coaching hot seat.
Earlier, Abdur Razzaq was the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators and he did a pretty good job over the years. Umar Gul, however, has always been special for Pakistan.
In the draft last week, Chris Gayle and Tom Banton were picked by Quetta and powered by Ben Cutting and Cameron Delport, we are apparently seeing a good batting side.

Time is the anchor for the change. Results come but you need to be patient with the process. With the new players and coaches with Quetta Gladiators, things can go either way. Are we ready to give the process the time it needs or are we impatient enough to see them crowned among the top 2? The question still surfaces!
