We Asked A Karachi Kings Die Heart Fan to discuss his favourite team’s PSL 6 Squad, She think that her Team is Strong enough to defend their title.

Imad Wasim is the captain of Karachi Kings, that led the team to victory in last season & again He’ll be the captain.

Although She want to see her favorite Babar Azam as the captain.

Since He’s the captain across formats in Int’l cricket & He can gain more experience by captaining a franchise side but we cant do anything since the owner of the franchise has decided to go with Imad as captain and thats not bad for the team either, Imad is a good captain as well and that will allow Babar Azam to play freely as a batsmen w/o the responsibility of captaining the side.

And She think that her team squad is Strong enough to defend the title:

Squad Strength:

Karachi Kings’s squad strength will mainly be their top order, they’ve gun player like Babar Azam at the top, the team will rely alot on him, ideally He’ll play the anchor role & others to play around him, Ingram is a very destructive left hander in the middle, then they’ve a very good finisher in M Nabi who is equally good against pace & spin while hitting in the slog overs, in bowling department they’ve a match winner in M Amir who on his day can win a match for them & a good in death overs.

Apart from that they got local bowling talent in Waqas Maqsood who has good variations and Arshad Iqbal, both did well in the last season. Overall they’re a strong team and strong contender of defending their title in the upcoming season.

Bowling :

In bowling department, KK are balanced, they have M Amir who we all know what can He do so no need to explain that, they got Imad Wasim who is a good poweplay bowler, does’nt take many wickets but an economical bowlers and creates pressure from one end, Waqas Maqsood is another find local bowler, can swing the ball, then He can be handy if used in middle overs, in particular He’ll be very good on some of the slow tracks ( will find that later on as we only have to play on 2 venues ) can be effective with his variations. Arshad is another bowler who did well for them in the last season and hopefully He’ll do the job in this season. M Ilyas ( who played for MS in last season ) is also a good bowler, can be used with new ball and in death overs as well, then they have allrounder in Christian ( handy bowler in middle overs with his variations , slower deliveries ) Nabi as well ( offspinner ) who will be handy for them specially against Left handers, they’ve young Qasim Akram too who also bowls offspin and then in supplementary they have leggie Noor ahmed who is also a decent option for them and they might use him If they need. So overall a good and balanced bowling attack.

Weakness :

Well tbh I dont find much weakness in this squad but one area where they might struggle is when the top order fails, then they dont have say a solid middle order batsmen who can bat through the Inngs, otherwise I dont see this squad has much of a weakness, they also have some good backup of players, like If say Sharjeel fails then they got Zeeshan Malik who is also a good young talent, they also have a 2 WK batsmen as well, say If Chadwick Walton fails then Joe Clarke can come in place of him.

To conclude I would say that Karachi Kings again have a terrific squad, they have done so well in the drafts and credits to their management for that speciailly Wasim Akram. They’ve a nicely balanced squad and are capable of defending the title. They’re my fav team too so I wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
